Be a skilled Health Care Assistant in Footcare.
This short course has been designed to provide nationally recognised and accredited units of competency in assisting with basic foot care. This unit will provide the participants with the skills and knowledge required to assist with basic foot care, including skin and nail care and applying dressings, padding and cushioning under the direct, indirect or remote supervision of a registered podiatrist.
What you will learn:
- Receiving delegation and gathering information.
- Preparing for basic foot care.
- Performing basic foot care.
- Applying padding and cushioning prescribed by the supervising podiatrist.
- Complying with supervisory requirements.
- Cleaning and storing equipment.
- How to fill in relevant documentation
